HELLO, GO-GO !
At left, Assateague Island Alliance President, Dave Blazer gets some assistance from 9 year old Kyla Reciniello from Robbinsville, New Jersey to draw the lucky entry that will have the right to name Wild Assateague Horse No. N2BHS-A.
Kyla picked the entry submitted by Jennifer Kissner for her son, Griffin. The Kissner family lives in York, Pennsylvania and has been visiting Ocean City "forever." For the last eight years the trip has included a visit to Assateague Island.
This year was three year old Griffin's first time on Assateague Island National Seashore. Griffin (lower left) is an animal lover and when his Mommy asked him what name he would choose for a horse, he did not hesitate to say, "Gokey Gobones!" (Go-Go for short.)
"Griffin is thrilled that a (pony) playing on the beach will have a name that he picked." |
